Changes are required to meet hazardous materials reporting requirements of the Department of Transportation as outlined in 49 CFR for shipments under fumigation such as grain shipments. In a fumigation scenario a "small means of containment", normally a can or cylinder, is added to a grain shipment at origin. At destination the received needs additional information that can not be send today including flag that shipment was under fumigation, disposal instructions and the date fumigation began. The residue indicator is necessary to accurately describe the shipment once the fumigant container is spent.
