There is a need to communicate the equipment inspection data captured when a third party temporarily takes control of a carrier's equipment. Example situations include, when a carrier places it's trailer on a rail or has a trailer moved by a drayage carrier. Equipment inspection data would be communicated from the third party to the equipment owner in order to be able to track equipment damage occurrences.
