Leaders elected to provide guidance in the development of cross-industry electronic business interchange standards

Falls Church, VA, July 26, 2010 – The Data Interchange Standards Association (DISA) has elected a new Board of Directors Executive Committee and Board officers to provide guidance in the development of cross-industry e-commerce standards that improve business process interoperability and facilitate business information exchange.

DISA serves as Secretariat for the Accredited Standards Committee (ASC) X12, a developer of electronic data interchange (EDI) standards and related documents for national and global markets, chartered by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) in 1979.

Stephen Bouchard, Electronic Services Manager, Comptroller of Maryland, was elected as Board of Directors Chair, to replace Byron Warren, Principal, Central Texas EC Consulting, for a two-year term. Other 2010-2012 officers are:
• Vice Chair of the Board: Sam Presutti, Senior Solutions Architect, GXS
• Secretary of the Board: Jonathan Lyon, Senior Staff Member, Federation of Tax Administrators
• Treasurer: Mike Sadiwnyk, Senior Vice President, Global Relations and Chief Standards Officer, GS1 Canada

Elected to serve as At-large Directors 2010-2012 Term are Jonathan Lyon (Incumbent); Wayne Marshall (Incumbent), VP, Professional Services, EDI Specialists, Inc.; Michael Sadiwnyk (Incumbent); Roger L. Trout (Incumbent), Principal, Roger Trout Consulting; and new Board of Directors member, Catherine A. Worth; SVP, Senior eCommerce Product Consultant, Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
