Announcing an Informational Forum for Type 1 Errata to the:

  • Post Adjudicated Claims Data Reporting: Professional (005010X298A1)
  • Post Adjudicated Claims Data Reporting: Institutional (005010X299A1)
  • Post Adjudicated Claims Data Reporting: Dental (005010X300A1)

X12 will conduct an informational forum related to the implementation guides listed above during the upcoming Standing Meeting. The informational forum will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at 2:00 PM ET.

The Post Adjudicated Claims Data Reporting: Professional, Institutional, and Dental Implementation Guides describe the use of the X12 Health Care Claim (837) transaction set for reporting health care professional, institutional, and dental service post adjudicated data:

  • to satisfy state and federal reporting requirements such as; Medicare and Medicaid encounters, All Payer Claims Databases, and Health Care Insurance Exchanges
  • for use in health data analysis from payer data

These errata were developed by X12's Insurance Subcommittee and were recently the subject of public review. The public review comments and associated work group responses will be reviewed at the informational forum. This is the final opportunity for public discussion of the comments and any resulting revisions.

If significant or substantive revisions will be applied to the draft following the informational forum, a subsequent public review may be conducted. Otherwise the errata will be published in accordance with X12 procedural requirements.

The draft revisions, submitted comments, and associated responses are available at until the conclusion of the informational forum. The draft is provided for public review and cannot be used for any other purpose without permission from X12. Responses to all comments will be posted no later than fifteen (15) days prior to the informational forum.

Individuals who will not be onsite at the Standing Meeting may participate in this informational forum virtually. To participate virtually, register for the Standing Meeting by September 16, 2016, select the option for participating virtually, then select X12N - PACDR Errata Information Forum.
